Klaus Alois Pressl Klaus Alois Pressl, age 86, passed away Wednesday April 30th 2025 at Celebra-tion Villa in Martinsburg, WV.

  He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Heide Pressl and his two children Stefanie and Marcus. He is also remembered by his four grandchildren, Tristan, Aidan, Maria and Clare.

  Klaus was born on December 8th, 1938 near Nuremberg, Germany.

  In 1960, as a young man he came to the United States to work and to travel. On a visit back to Germany he met his wife Heide and the two were married in 1963. Returning together to the United States they made their home in Chicago where their two children were born. In 1972, after becoming US citizens, Klaus and Heide moved their family back to Ger-many to take over the family business where Klaus worked as the general manager of Pressol Mfg for over 25 years. He dedicated his life to growing the manufacturing business on the international market.

  In his spare time Klaus loved the outdoors and taking walks. He took his children hiking in the Rocky Mountains, southern Germany and the Austrian Alps. During the winter months he was an avid skier. One of his greatest passions was to travel with his family and to show them every corner of the world. Either by driving all over the US and Canada in campers or later on by visiting almost every continent on cruise ships.

  In 1997 Klaus and Heide moved permanently to the United States, first to Sara-sota Fl, then in 2021 to Martinsburg WV to be closer to their grandchildren.

  A memorial service in his honor will be held at 2pm on May 9th 2025 at the Priest-field Pastoral Center in Kearneysville WV.
