INWOOD — Washington was firing on all cylinders during its game against Musselman on Monday.

Not only did the Patriots score in every inning, putting up multiple runs in all but one inning, but they also got a solid effort from McKenzie O’Hara in the circle en route to a 14-0, five-inning victory over the Applemen.

Washington (15-3) got the offensive explosion going right off the bat, scoring three runs in the top of the first inning, all with no outs, as the first four batters reached.

After Kalyn Dean walked to start the inning, Gabby Bibb followed with a double to right field to score Dean and put the Patriots up 1-0. The lead quickly went to 3-0 after Carly Constantino launched a two-run homer over the center-field fence.

The Patriots added on four more runs in the top of the second, again starting off strong. Addison Sloan and Addison Musser singled, and two batters later, Bibb singled, and Sloan scored on an ensuing error, putting Washington up 4-0. The next hitter, Constantino, followed with a single, her second hit of the game, to score Musser and Bibb and extend Washington’s lead to 6-0.

After adding on another run to go ahead 8-0, the Patriots tacked on two more runs in the top of the fourth.

The first run came on Washington’s second home run of the game, this time from Zoe Kesterson on a shot to left field. Chloe Constantino and Ella Ranck followed with back-to-back singles, and O’Hara walked to loaded the bases. Sloan then followed with a single to score Chloe Constantino and give the Patriots a 10-0 lead.

Washington added four more runs in the top of the fifth, as Kesterson, Ranck, O’Hara and Musser each drove in a run.

The Patriots were led by Kesterson with four hits and three RBI and Carly Constantino with two hits and four RBI. Bibb, Chloe Constantino, Ranck, Sloan and Musser each added three hits.

O’Hara got the win, allowing no runs on three hits and striking out 10 in a complete-game effort.
