SPRING MILLS — Scoring all of its runs in the first three innings, Spring Mills jumped ahead early and never looked back in a 7-0 victory over Fort Hill, Maryland, on Tuesday.
The Cardinals (12-6) scored three runs in the first inning, one in the second and three more in the third. At the plate, Bryce Anders led the way with two hits and an RBI, with J.P. Sweeney and Sam Mullendore adding a hit and two RBI.
Tyler Jones got the pitching win, allowing no runs on two hits in three innings of work.

Musselman 10, Hampshire 2
INWOOD — A six-run third inning lifted Musselman to a win over Hampshire on Tuesday in the first game of a doubleheader.
For the Applemen (7-10-1), six different players had a hit — Grace Hostetler, Camryn Mallow, Marissa Wascher, Miley Rutherford, McKenzie Hough and Avery Bennett. Hostetler, Mallow, Wascher, Hough and Bennett each drove in a run.
In the circle, Allison Hoffman got the win, allowing two runs on three hits in a complete-game effort.
The score of the second game was not available at press time.

Kutztown sweeps Shepherd
KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Shepherd University (21-18-1, 17-10-1 PSAC East) dropped a pair of games to No. 19 Kutztown (34-13, 18-10 PSAC East) in PSAC East softball doubleheader action at Kutztown on Tuesday.
The Rams dropped a 2-0 decision in Game 1 and suffered a 7-2 setback in the nightcap.
Kutztown took a 1-0 lead in the first inning in game one as Emily Henn doubled and later scored on a single by Alexa Stevens. The Golden Bears added a run in the third as Naya Darnowski singled and scored on a triple by Henn.
Henn went 2 for 3 to pace the Golden Bears.
Natalee Harvey (7 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 2 K, 2 BB) (4-4) gained the win for Kutztown. Sophomore pitcher Madelayne Ruffner (6 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 8 K, 1 BB) took the loss (15-2).
The Golden Bears took a 2-0 lead in the first in the nightcap as Henn reached on a fielder’s choice and Stevens followed with a single. Henn later scored on a wild pitch and Stevens scored a single by Samantha Paetow.
Kutztown added a pair of runs in the third on a solo homer by Darnowski and an RBI-single by Morgan Slomkowski.
Shepherd cut the lead to 4-2 in the fourth as senior shortstop Lexi Clatterbuck reached on a walk, and sophomore first baseman Brenna Collis followed with a two-run blast for her fifth round-tripper of the season.
The Golden Bears took advantage of one hit, an error, and a pair of walks to score three runs in the sixth to complete the scoring.
Stevens went 3 for 4 to lead Kutztown.
Haley Gravish (7.0 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 4 K, 2 BB) (22-6) earned the win. Freshman pitcher Sam Colaw (Petersburg, W.Va./Petersburg) (2.1 IP, 6 H, 4 ER, 2 K, 0 BB) (4-11) took the loss.
The Rams return to action on Friday when they travel to West Chester for a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
